Friendly Terms & Guidelines

Payments for Basic submissions are for review of the website only and do not guarantee inclusion. It is Friendly's editorial policy to reserve the right to edit, move and/or delete listings when deemed appropriate. If your Express or Sponsored submission is rejected you will be invited to re-submit it. If the second submission is not accepted you will be entitled a 50% refund, this is to cover our administration costs.
The refund policy only applies to Express and Sponsored submissions.

If your site submission complies with our guidelines and terms then it will be accepted.

The following types of websites will not be included into the directory, so don't waste your time.

  • Pharm, adult or duplicate sites.
  • Websites that redirect to another domain.
  • Websites that are under construction.
  • Websites consisting of mostly affiliate links.
  • Websites that offer little or no value and content to human visitors, including sites designed solely to promote Google Adsense, or similar, campaigns.
  • Websites that are deemed offensive or illegal.
  • Websites that contain excessive pop-ups or pop-unders.

Make sure that your submission is placed in the correct category and location.
All entries will appear in the 'world' location, so please do drill down and target your home country. This will mean that your entry will appear on 3 pages of the directory and make it easier for people to find you, giving you better results.

The format of your entry should look something like this:

Title: The SEO Friendly Directory
(Please use proper title case and do not just stuff it with keywords.

Description: Search the world and find it locally with the SEO friendly web directory.
(Do not use all capitals. The description should give sufficient information to allow the user to decide whether to click or not. Using words such as greatest, best, cheapest etc. will mean that your site will not be accepted and if you use the word proven then let's see the proof on your site. Do not put any time or price sensitive information here. Oh and try and use a little imagination, don't use exactly the same text as your title. Remember you're trying to get potential customers to visit your site and you only have 200 characters to do it.

Keywords: These should be site relevant keywords and phrases. Please do put your country, state, county, city or town in here so that users can do a localised search to find you. Do not use commas as these get stripped out and try and avoid stop words such as: in, for, and, all, as these have no effect on a search and are really just a waste of space.

We really do want to show your link, so when you have completed the form please just spend a minute checking everything before you submit, because a lot of you are making it very difficult for us. At the moment we're rejecting more sites than are being accepted. Our guidelines are not very strict but when we have submissions where the URL is spelled incorrectly, there's not a lot we can do!
